SCF is a truly special place for many reasons; the positive impact this community has made to my physical and mental health is profound. The team are some of the most supportive, caring and fun individuals I have ever met. Lee, Dean and Luke all go above and beyond to encourage us to reach our full potential whilst offering their knowledge and guidance about both training and nutrition. I think what stands out most to me is how genuine they are. From the start, Lee has been incredibly approachable and understanding - he is just a really down to earth person. As a type 1 diabetic, I have struggled to maintain my blood sugars when changing exercise regimes regularly and what has been so wonderful here is that I can add variety to my routines whilst keeping consistency. This has changed my life greatly and I will be forever grateful for this.

Walking into SCF is hands down one of the best decisions I have made for myself in years, my only regret is not starting sooner! Nervous and a complete novice when it came to anything fitness, diet or weights related, I was instantly put at ease by Lee, Dean and Luke. All hugely knowledgeable, encouraging and on hand whenever to answer questions and to support your journey throughout. This is the first gym I have ever walked into and instantly felt comfortable. The team are the most friendly and inspiring bunch I have met, with lots of banter and laughs to keep you going. I enjoy every session that I do, they are varied and fun and I really feel like I achieve something every time I’m there. I only intended on staying for 6 weeks but have loved it so much and have seen such great results, I’m now signed up as a full time member of the team and can’t wait to see how far I can progress. I highly recommend South Coast Fitness to anyone wanting a new challenge.

Whether you are a newbie to the gym scene, have faced obstacles such as injury or just fed up with the sterile impersonal feel of the corporate chains, this is a fantastic place to take your first or experienced next step.
Lee is a true master of his craft, a real professional, whose expert knowledge of fitness, technique and nutrition is second to none. He is thoughtful, measured, asks brilliant questions, supports and always motivates – all in order to guide you effectively as you work towards your personal goals.
A warm welcome will greet you not only from Lee and the team, but also from the friendly and supportive community who train. I’m in my 50s and I have never been a ‘gym bunny’ (for me personally, a place to be avoided in the past!) but SCF is very different – now it is a pleasure to attend.
I started with PT sessions to build core strength & stability, something I’d not achieved before due to limitations from surgery. Lee’s patience and tailored approach was perfect for me, for the first time I have really noticed the difference. I feel stronger, energised and more agile in my movement. I’ve now ‘graduated’ to the classes and I haven’t looked back.

Being in my 50’s there comes a time when you just know you’ve got to sort your stuff out. Being physically weaker and fatter than ever before was uncomfortable- and then thank goodness, I found SCF.
Lee is ridiculously motivating and there is nothing he does not know about fitness and nutrition. Supported by Dean and James you know you are in safe hands.
The first session of anything is daunting, but EVERYONE is so welcoming… The group sessions have a 1-2-1 feel and someone always has an eye on your form and effort, encouraging more than you think you can give- and that’s the value of SCF. Sessions are challenging and varied every day and I have never not looked forward to training.
I was never going to stay longer than six weeks at SCF, I’ve now joined and could not imagine life without training as hard as this. The mental change in me is profound and physically I’m so much stronger and enjoying the journey back to optimum health.
My only regret is that I procrastinated way too long in making the changes in my life

Why should you join SCF? Well, I started six weeks ago but it already feels like I’ve been there my whole life. I’ve grown so much in that short amount of time, not just physically but mentally too; it sounds cringy but it feels like my second home. I’ve never met someone so passionate and motivated as Lee is; his drive inspires everyone to challenge themselves, which has created a culture where everyone feels welcome just as they are, without feeling intimidated or scared to make a mistake. Don’t get me wrong, the first session is intimidating haha but everyone knows what that feels like, and we all want to help where we can, whether that’s pointing you in the right direction with exercises or just chit-chatting! I can only echo the rest of the 5 star reviews about how amazing the whole team is and the facilities are. I love the focus on nutrition as well as exercise and the coaching I’ve received already has taught me so much. Everyone is in it together and on their own journey, I feel so grateful to have met a community of people that I know I’ll always be welcomed back to. We all support each other in a way that’s unique to everyone, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me here. SCF is going to only going to continue to thrive!

Experience of 10! I am delighted with this gym and my trainers. It's the first time in my life that I've been able to go to the gym regularly and even feel like going, it's become an essential part of my routine. The trainers manage to make the classes very enjoyable and personalised so that anyone can do them. They help you and correct you in everything so that you continue to improve. It also includes monitoring and advice on the diet that best suits you according to your goals. The atmosphere is very positive and there is a very good vibe. Highly recommended :)

I recently signed up to the 6 week plan as being an unfit 48yr man, wanting to get back to playing regular football again and loosing some weight
I hadn’t trained properly for 3 years but finding Lee and his team at SCF really easy to talk too and they are really interested in finding what your goals are and how to achieve them
The range of gym equipment and sessions are set up so you work every part of your body
The help with my diet & nutritional support is really good too
Everybody who trains is great and very friendly and really supportive and helps you through it when needed
I now feel more stronger and more energised than ever and it’s all down to making that leap of faith and saying you can do this!!
